2021 - SECOND FEATURE FILM
Mercy Land began shooting in April 2021 (moved from January due to the pandemic), with filming finishing several months later during a very enjoyable and exciting filming period.
Our very ambitious plans to make Mercy Land a huge step up in production values from our previous film was more than met, with the cast and crew dedicating so much talent to this exciting production.
Edit and post-production will see Mercy Land ready by early 2022.
2020 - AMAZON SUCCESS
British Made was released on Amazon Prime at the end of April 2020, and had huge success streaming to tens of thousands in the first two weeks. It has so far streamed to over a quarter of a million people throughout the world.
Pre-production on Mercy Land continued all year with a completed shooting script, art design work and highly talented cast and crew assembled.
2020 - BRITISH MADE LONDON PREMIER
We continued to have great success with British Made throughout the year, winning the best Narrative Feature at the New York film festival. The film also premiered at the Barnes film festival, with a sell-out crowd enjoying a Q&A screening, and another at the Chania film festival in Crete attended by Simon Rickards.
Work began on our 2nd feature film Mercy Land, which will be a dystopian film based in a future England damaged by climate change.
2019 - FILM FESTIVAL SUCCESS
British Made has been making very good progress on the international film festival circuit, playing in Madrid, Rome, US, Chile, Brazil, India and the UK. We have picked up a number of awards for best film, director, screenplay, lead actor (James Knapp), supporting actress (Jennifer Preston), music cinematographer, and sound design.
2019 - FIRST FEATURE FILM COMPLETED
It had been a very busy 2019 for Godiva, with the successful completion of our first feature film British Made. We continued to work towards British Made's film festival release and publicity, with a number of planned screenings taking place throughout the next years.
We also continued to grow Godiva Films with ambitious plans for future work.
