Mid - 2020
British Made was released on Amazon Prime at the end of April, and has been a huge success, streaming in the tens or thousands in the first two weeks. We are very grateful to everyone involved for their hard work, and we will continue to build on this success.
Pre-production work on Mercy Land continues, with a 5th draft screenplay completed this week, and a number of concept artwork and costume designs being made.
We are hoping to complete a short test film later in the year, and then moving the shooting schedule to begin in early 2021.
Early - 2020
Work has begun on our second feature film Mercy Land, which we are planning to begin shooting later in the year. The screenplay has been written by Simon Rickards, who will also direct and produce with Niti Sidpra.
Mercy Land is a very ambitious production and will incorporate a number of VFX and SFX scenes, and we are also hoping to greatly improve the size and scope from our first feature film British Made.
Research and test shooting is currently being planned for Mercy Land, as well as a number of concept art works.
Late - 2019
We continued to have great success with British Made this year, winning the best Narrative Feature film at the New York International Reel film festival in August.
The film was also shown at the Barnes film festival in September, with a sell-out crowd enjoying the film and Q&A from Simon Rickards.
In October British Made was one of the main films at the Chania film festival in Crete, with a large screening and another Q&A making for a wonderful evening.
Work is about to begin on our 2nd feature film, which will be a science-fiction film based in a future England.
Mid - 2019
British Made has been making very good progress on the international film festival circuit , playing in Madrid, Rome, Virginia US and Chile. We continue to submit to many festivals all over the UK and the world.
We were big winners in the SFAAF in Chile, where we won awards for Best film, director, screenplay, lead actor (James Knapp), supporting actress (Jennifer Preston), music cinematographer, and sound design. Details of all the films and winners can be seen here: SFAAF.
Early - 2019
It has been a very busy year for Godiva Films, with the completion of our first feature film British Made. We will continue to work towards British Made's film festival release and publicity, with a number of planned screenings taking place throughout 2019 & 2020.
There are also plans to begin work on some more quality short film and documentary productions, where we will again try to work with a dedicated team whilst also bringing through some upcoming talent from outside.
Please do contact us if you are interested in working with us on future productions.
